Come prepared for a little weather it could get chilly until the jet engines fire up. I can run in the rain but they won't let me. MIR does have a jet powered track dryer to get the action going again as fast as possible. Hope for the best...... the beer taste the same rain or not.

The antics of the track officials make those rain delays go by a lot faster. :killingme

I spoke with my Snap-On guy yesterday and he said that if it rains Saturday and the race is cancelled it will be held on Sunday.

I have a sponsor and I am committed to the event so no worry on my end for either or both days.

Here is the latest from MIR directly

All racing for this weekend (September 26-28th) is still on schedule. Keep in touch with Dragline (301-884-RACE) throughout the weekend for any weather-related schedule changes. On Saturday, most weather forecasts have a lingering shower Saturday morning; then clearing in the afternoon. Should that be the case, we will run the Snap-On Racing SuperChargers Showdown on Saturday as scheduled. If the rain stays around until later in the day on Saturday, then the event will be run on Sunday. It is possible that we may not be able to make the final decision on the Snap-On Racing SuperChargers Showdown until early Saturday morning as the weather develops. Dragline will be updated again on Friday morning by 10:00 am.


I know that if you buy a ticket the usually honor the raindate on the same ticket

With most forecasts showing only a slight chance of a shower tomorrow evening, it is too soon to make a final decision. So we will update Dragline (301-884-RACE) again at 9:00 am on Saturday morning; but all indications suggest a good chance to get the event in!

If by chance the weather does not allow us to run on Saturday, we will run the Snap-On Racing SuperChargers Showdown on Sunday. This decision, if made, will be announced on the Saturday morning 9:00 am update.

I will be at the track entrance road near the gate between 11 am and 11:15. I get 3 free tickets but you must ride in with me. I will enter at 11:30 with or without you. Look for the light blue Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 pulling a white dual axle trailer.

Bring:
1. Camera and or video camera......I will pay for real awesome shots.
2. Beer and snacks if you want.... they have food and beer at the stand
3. Umbrella or Poncho
4. Your noise maker and smile
5. If you have sensitive ears bring ear pugs.... this is a dragstrip..

my cell is 301-848-2152 but good luck.... again this is a dragstrip...

I have no idea when i get to run.... typical .... but I plan to be there late perhaps after midnight...

First one there is Crew Chief. (must be able to breath Nitro, gasoline, alcohol jet fuel and burning rubber)

Leave your cussing and vulgarity at home..... I like having the kids and their parents feel comfortable around my tent.

If you cant find me or Lusbymom ask a track official where the Jet luge or Snap On pit is?

SUPERCHARGER SHOWDOWN is a GO!!!

Todays Snap-on Tools SuperChargers Showdown is on schedule. We will open on time at 11:30 am. Current radar show showers moving along the coast, east of the track and no rain threatening in the area. So call all your friends and head to Budds Creek. All staff report in as scheduled.
