Biden was asked if he has taken a mental exam during an interview with the National Association of Black Journalists, and he snapped at Errol Barnett, “No, I haven’t taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test?”

That answer was very different from one he gave in late June.

Biden was attempting to exit his speech-turned-press conference when Doug McKelway of Fox News asked if the presumptive Democrat nominee has been tested “for some degree of cognitive decline?”

“I’ve been tested, and I’m constantly tested,” Biden responded.

I was thinking MAYBE he misunderstood or misheard the question, and somehow thought they were referring to COVID testing.
NOPE. It's clear he knew exactly what was asked, and he either told a barefaced lie - which is probably the case, since there's no reason to CONSTANTLY test someone if their cognitive ability is up to par - or just simply isn't all there mentally and reacted the way EVERY person I've ever known reacts to implications of dementia - anger and denial.

So, yeah, probably both. If he is tested CONSTANTLY he's either lying in his denial or his mind is going and he doesn't remember.
Or he hasn't been tested at all, and he lied about it. And doesn't remember what he said.

Look, maybe in 2012 when he debated Paul Ryan, he MIGHT have had most of his marbles - but he clearly doesn't NOW.

So even if you're a Trump HATER, which really is worse - four more years of Trump - or a man whose mind is clearly deteriorating in the most powerful office in the land - a mind that is clearly going to slip further into the abyss. Do you really want to vote for a man knowing it's rather certain he'll be removed from office before long? You think 25th amendment applies to TRUMP? How do you think it will apply to a man who can't remember the day, where he is, what office he is running for, which person is his wife, his own NAME for Pete's sake or remember things he's said?

You think they'll yank him before he does something stupid? Don't bet on it. This is Washington. He can do lots of stupid before he goes.

My mom finally passed - I did FaceTime with her in her final months. I know what it is like to see face to face someone whose mind is slipping away. It was small six months ago but visible. Joe is about where my mom was a year ago. Last FaceTime, she didn't know anything. THIS is who you want to elect?

Wilson, as had become his habit, denied that there was anything seriously wrong. However, his wife Ellen had taken to consulting doctors. One, a neurologist named Francis Dercum, suggested that Wilson just needed a few months rest. Another, Silas Mitchell, said that Wilson would not survive his term.

Dr. Grayson would be placed in a difficult situation in 1914, when Ellen Wilson died of a kidney ailment. Wilson could not believe that his wife’s condition was that serious and Grayson did not want to upset the president and possibly cause another stroke. Weinstein wonders if this is why Grayson did not call in consultants until it was too late. Wilson soon named Grayson Surgeon General.

Wilson seemed ill in 1915 and De Schweinitz was called in again. The doctor found evidence of hypertension and a hardening of the arteries, warning signs that the president’s state of health was precarious. In all likelihood, he informed Grayson, but Wilson continued his state of denial.

In 1919, after World War I, Wilson was trying to convince Congress to approve United States entry into the League of Nations. Some in the Senate opposed the idea while others would be willing to go along if certain reservations were included in the treaty. Wilson went on a public speaking tour but suffered a collapse at Pueblo, Colorado. The presidential party returned to Washington, and soon after, the president suffered his most serious stroke.

I could almost feel sorry for Biden.
His dementia is at fault for his not recognizing what is wrong with him.
But what is wrong with his wife and those around him who don't or won't recognize it.

They are seriously allowing this man who is obviously having difficulties with mental illness to run for the highest office in this country. They are crazier than he is.

They won't bother to keep him as a figurehead if they can. The challenge will be to remove him and save face.
The Dems really can't have the reason he steps down or is removed being his mind is gone.

I wouldn't underestimate the power of even a half-wit, however. They can do a LOT before being removed.
And if they think impeachment is an embarrassment - even a failed one - having the distinction of a party having to remove one of its own due to failing mental capacity will be damaging (unless like Wilson, they can hide it).

Two people in my life with this - they are beyond stubborn. You might as well tell them they're dead.
If you've ever had to persuade a parent or elderly relative to say, stop driving or go into assisted living, it's like that.
They won't comply.

I was dreading this with my dad. 94 y/o. He can remember every detail of his life with uncanny accuracy, up until recently. Short term memory issues. Now when we talk, he keeps repeating the same things he's done like we've never talked about it before. All you can do is be patient and listen.

This one can't be hidden because it's right out there in plain view. It's the denial by the left... It's the "they think we're too stupid to see the truth"... that I find more concerning than Biden' mental decline.

And here's the even sadder part of this... I have watched my mom's dementia go from barely recognizable to late stage. My brothers and I fought tooth and nail with her that she had to move out of her house and into assisted living. When you love someone, you do what's best for them. What they're doing to Biden isn't love, not for him - nor, most importantly, for the country. The Biden family needs to prepare this man for his decline; do what's best for him and the family.

The left is just shameless in destroying whatever or whomever in pursuit of their power. Given Biden's mental state, I have to believe he doesn't fully understand what's even happening.

Or he'll have a very Radical choice for VP, like AOC or Ilhan.. they'll remove him from ofiice, they take the Presidency AND get to chose an even more radical socialist for VP..

Evidently what Joe MEANT back when asked and he replied that he’s tested constantly - was that he is tested daily by his efforts on the campaign trail.

Ok. I can see how he might have meant that. It certainly DOESN’T make sense to test someone’s cognitive ability every day.

But if THAT is his measure of TESTING then I’d say he FAILS it constantly. It would be like Charlie Brown saying he has years of practice kicking a football.

It’s almost sad. He thinks his mental acuity is PROVEN every day.
