I am so glad to finally have this monster, an X police officer of D.C. sentenced today. And no, 30 yrs is not even close enough to the time he deserves. Shelton D. Stephens, my husband was stabbed to death in Hooters parking lot, Nov. 2008. in Waldorf. Rest in peace my dear Shelt. I love you!

Sorry for your loss

I am so sorry for the loss that you've suffered. I can't begin to imagine the pain you have suffered in losing your husband to such a senseless, meaningless crime. I hope that you can find peace in your life and are able to get past your loss.
Mr Plass was my neighbor for 25 years. He has been a miserbale individual for all of those years. Shortly after moving in to the neighborhood, his wife left him and ever since then, it was all downhill. I guess I won't have to worry about seeing him for a very long time.

:huggy: I am sorry for your loss. I am also happy that justice was served, even though not as long as you hoped for.

I don't understand? Why is 30 years a good sentence for murder? What happened to life in prison or the death sentence?

I agree, even though my post didn't read that way. But 30 is better than him getting away with it  The way I see it is, her daily stress is now over dealing with the court & justice system. That had to be so hard!

because he didn't use a gun??

I mean the poor victim would have been a LOT deader if the convict had used a gun..

But I agree, it makes no sense... 30 years, which means he's eligible for parole in what, less than 10??
