Jesus Prays to Be Glorified

John 17:1 After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed:

“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 2 For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. 3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4 I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.

There would be no more Sermons on the Mount. There would be no more healing. There would be no more teaching. Jesus had done it all to perfection.

Now His mission would move into the most difficult part. Now Jesus is going to face the cross and conquer death.

It's good to know that my Savior was there when the earth was formed and He'll be there when I leave earth to meet Him in Heaven.

For those of you who know I am reading the Book of Mormon and are familiar with it.... I am now at 3 Nephi 18 and I would say.... based on that book it makes sense that Jesus is not done with the healing and the teaching....

But like I said.... I haven't finished the book so I'm not saying anything here in this thread about John 10:14-18
