Maybe the problem is that the black people he interacts with, those in the entertainment industry, are largely exploited. The problem is these entertainers might as well live on Mars in terms of how similar their day to day is vs the average person. He's been in a microcosm of bullshet for so long he doesn't even recognize when he's dishing it out.
