John Madden Retiring

I know right? First he loses George Bush, now John Madden! :jameo:

I know! Maybe NBC will hire Caliendo, keep him off camera, and not tell anyone that Madden retired. Caliendo can state the obvious just as well as Madden did for the last few years. Madden should have retired when Pat Summerall did.

I wonder if he gets to keep the bus?

Damn. I'll miss the big ole lug.

He brought a humanistic side to football in a time where everything is staged.

Collinsworth is his replacement. What a boob.

Well at least they replaced him with someone who hates the Redskins just as much. :ohwell:

I'll miss ol' Madden, too.

The only thing I don't like about Collinsworth is his propensity to talk about his football playing days...who cares?

But other than that, I like him. Glad it wasn't Gumbel.

As long as Collinsworth talks about his playing days for the Gators then it's all good!
