Very sad news.. Johnny was a regular here at my compound (and its tiki bar). His keen wit and story telling skills will be sorely missed.

He paid his last vist only a few short weeks ago and seemed to be on the mend..we all had such hope that was true.

RIP Johnny.

The world won't be the same without Johnny Ford. We're loosing some of them boys from that generation. Sad. :(

Ned Brinsfield into dropping him off
at the Tiki Bar opening right now ! ;)

RIP Johnny

That is truly sad news, he will be missed (as will his corny jokes).

Johnny Ford told me one day that he had an uncle who delivered milk for a living. One of his costumers, a women who normally ordered about a gallon of milk a week, one day requested 20 gallons. His uncle asked the women what do you need 20 gallons of milk for. She said she was going to take a bath in it. He said Oh would you like it pasteurized? She said no just above the tits.
RIP JF

This year will see the 30th annual pig roast weekend blowout held here, later this summer. Johnny was proud of his attendance record..I so wished he could have made this one too..and the next..and...

The hat..who will ever forget the hat?

I think of Johnny Ford every time I look at my hand...and I haven't seen him in almost 40 years. Johnny was personally responsible for cutting off my left thumb at Leonardtown Junior High in 1967...a story I tell that makes people laugh to this day. (They sewed it back on, but I got this wacky thumbnail that makes me thing of Johnny Ford every time I cut it). Didn't know he had passed until today. Condolences to his family and friends there in St. Mary's.
