How about changing the schools curriculum to cover the last 5 wars/conflicts that the US was in. Teach the kids about the war/conflicts that their brother/sister or parents may have died in or severed in. I graduated in 96 from one of the county’s high schools and we spent our time learning about other countries wars and about wars in the 17th and 18th century, never learned anything about Vietnam, Cuba missile crises or anything that happened while I was alive.
I do not care if they learn it in a trailer or a brick school house; just want them to learn something that has affected their life.
