Isn't it time to get rid of judges like this?
Combating Judicial Political Activism

John Morganelli, District Attorney for Northampton County, Pa., probably had no idea what he was in for last week when his office appeared before Judge Leonard Zito for the conviction and sentencing of 27 individuals accused of using false and stolen social security numbers.

Morganelli’s investigators had worked for months to prosecute the group, 14 of which had not simply used false social security numbers, but had stolen and used the social security numbers of law-abiding people.

But although every one of the defendants pleaded guilty, Judge Zito refused to impose any period of incarceration, nor did he fine the defendants.

I disagree with Fox that legalizing gay marriage constitutes "judicial activism," because I believe the government has no compelling interest in preventing gay couples from getting married.

But I do agree that the judge is an idiot. Even though I think the INS should come down more strongly on the employers, illegals still need to pay for their crime of being here illegally.

Agree, I am simply shocked that a judge can do such a thing. What a slap in the face to the investigators that worked so hard on the case and obviously the judge has forgotten what side of the fence he should be situated on. Too bad judges cannot be sued for stupid decisions, must be nice to act knowing you have absolute immunity, whenever you make a decision from the bench.

Hmmm...

Positive Reasons For Being An Illegal Alien:

-Avoid all that messy citizenship stuff
-Never have to pay taxes
-You want to try someone's social security number on for size
-You can commit identity theft, wheeeeee
-You suffer no consequenses for your actions
-You can't be punished for a crime in a country that you're not a citizen in to commit

(I only glanced at the article, but is this the gist? Before getting to the positives of being a judge with a grudge?)

-Someone could steal your identity, but who would want it?
-The Democrats will get back the Presidency eventually.
-Don't have to pay into social security but just as likely to get payments from it.
