Juicing

So I got a decent quality juicer during the holidays. It's been a long time since I was a big juice drinker, but I've now rediscovered the joy of drinking fresh juice. For example, I've been making fresh apple juice and it's freaking delicious - maybe better than anything I can remember drinking, certainly better than the pre-made juices I've bought in grocery stores. I think I could drink it all day everyday.

There's a problem though... it's expensive. With the apples I'm getting, it costs something like $2 for a decent sized glass. That's okay once in a while I suppose, but I'd like to be able to drink this apple juice (or other kinds of fresh juice) on a regular bases - 3 or 4 glasses a day, maybe.

So... first question... what advice might you wise and resourceful people offer me on finding cheaper apples or otherwise making less expensive fresh apple juice?

And... second question... what recommendations might you worldly and creative people offer me on new kinds of juice or juice combinations that I might want to try?

I use to drink a lot of carrot juice. At first 100% carrot juice was hard to drink, so I blended it with apple juice. Over time I was able to cut out the apple juice. You can order carrots in 50 pound bags if you are into serious juicing. Ask for the larger horse carrots since they are easier to clean.

Order your produce by the largest container you can use. Apples by the box may be cheaper, but that is a lot of apples.
