This is an excellent opportunity to ride with an international FEI level trainer and rider right here in Southern Maryland. Julio will be coming down to Endless Endeavor Farm at 28028 Mechanicsville Rd, Mechanicsville, Maryland 20659 Thursday and Friday November 29-30, 2012.
Julio Mendoza has been training horses and riders, in dressage, for over 21 years. He specializes in classical, competitive dressage and has successfully competed several horses and students up to Grand Prix. Julio is also a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist. In 2011 he rode at the PanAm Games in Guadalajara, Mexico for Ecuador. He rode the 9 year old Friesian stallion, Ivan who was the first and only Friesian ever invited to compete, in dressage, at PanAm. He has competed in the International Cup held in South America 5 years in a row always placing in the top 5. In 2007 he finished 3rd at the SA Rolex with his 8 year old Hanoverian Gelding, Gramero. In 2010 he qualified for Dressage at Devon on two horses in the performance division. Julio and Ivan just finished as Reserve Champions for Region 1 in Intermediare 1 at the GAIG finals.
Ivan and Julio placed 4th in the Nation out of 221 horses for Intermediare 1 with a 71.25% median. Ivan was also 4th in the nation for the Musical Freestyle Challenge which combines your I-1 test scores and your 1-1 Freestyle scores. And 1st place in the nation for Friesians at Intermediare.
Elfen String of Pearls aka "Freya" owned by the Lyon Family places 10th in the Nation out of 313 horses, at 3rd Level with a median of 69.61% with both Julio and Wanja Gerlach competing her this year! And first place in the nation for Trakehners at 3rd level.
Julio is well known for his engaging freestyles, demonstrations, and clinics at shows and expos across the country including the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event, The Dancing Horse Challenge at the PVDA Ride For Life as well as the Virigina, Maryland, and Pennsylvania horse expos and more.
Julio's teaching and training styles are very positive and encouraging. He's happy to help you reach your goals in dressage training, problem solving, young horse development, driving, in-hand work and more.
Everyone is welcome - the cost is $110 per ride. Auditing is available too, $10 a day.
