Are you offering a reminder to yourself? Because no one believes a Supreme gets to choose their replacement.

Also, the "last words" I read did not suggest a replacement...it suggested the timing of a replacement. But those words were in English, a language foreign to most on here.

Let's say Amy Coney Barrett gets nominated as a potential replacement, and everything but the final process occurs AFTER the election.
Let's also say the worst happens - Biden wins and the Dems take the Senate.

Do they have to even complete the process? Could Biden withdraw a nomination he didn't propose?
Do they just yank the process rather than have to deal with how viciously they certainly will treat her?

Biden and the new senate can't do ANYTHING until they are sworn, in for senators January 3rd POTUS January 19th or so. Until then it is business as usual.

Final process is confirmation by the full Senate. Without that there will be no appointment, matter done.
