It's been awhile since I've browsed them, but does anyone recommend any of the thrift stores in the area? Do we have a real Goodwill? I know of Vintage Values by the old Lex. Park library, but unaware of anywhere else. Suggestions are appreciated.

There's a nice one by the farmers market in St. Mary's and a huge one in Clinton, depending on what "area" you are referring to.

What's a thrift store? I thought it was a theif store...

Thrift stores are the best way to shop! Some people wear clothes like once or twice, get bored with 'em and donate them to Goodwill or other places. You can also find books, housewares, furniture...but I still don't get why people would buy swimsuits/underwear from there....

K-jo -- Kmart just isn't fun

So while on a business errand this morning, I discovered main street Leonardtown! I never knew it existed (I rarely go to Leonardtown), but there are a lot of nice shops, and I drove by the other Vintage Values -- which looks a little better than the Lex. Park one. Sooo...I know what I'm doing tomorrow.

There is a big Goodwill store on Washington Street in Waldorf. You can see it from the Walmart Parking lot.

Why didn't you have your yard sale?

Well, I had everything set Friday night, all the signs made up, but at the last minute, my brother couldn't make it down from B-more so it's been postponed 'til this upcoming Saturday and as of right now, he's coming down for sure and the sale is on!

I cannot believe I spent $2.09 a gallon for gas, drove all the way to Janeys house for the yard sale, only to find absolutely nothing for sale.. what a way to waste expensive gas!! I think I deserve a cut of the yardsale profits now!!!
