I'm not a divorced parent, so I won't try to speak to those issues. What I CAN say, having been a daddy for a year now, is that fathers are always presumed to be the inferior parent. By both men and women. You're right; stereotypes don't pop out of thin air, so I'm sure that not everybody with a gripe is telling the whole truth. Still, the term "deadbeat" gets launched pretty damn quickly on this board, even when somebody prefaces their gripe with "I PAID ALL MY CS"vraiblonde said:

I'm also wondering if there are other factors that aren't taken into account with this calculator. One of my closest friends would literally be living in a cardboard box (or even worse... in my house) if his fiancee wasn't helping him along.
And I, as well as his fiancee, have been telling him to fire his effing lawyer and go back. He won't do it - he's convinced that he's supposed to live like that.
Personally, I think his ex blew his lawyer.
