Just Moved Here

Hello,
We moved here a month ago (DH is Navy) and I am looking for some fun events to take our 1 and 3 yr old now that all of the boxes have been unpacked and we have our holiday decorations up etc. We are planning on going to the library today to check out storytime etc.

I have our 3 yr old in a Mom's Day out program on Tuesday's but we are totally free every other day of the week, though I do try to get to the gym 4 mornings a week for an hour or so. I am flexible with my gym schedule but our 1 yr old naps every afternoon so I like to be home by 1 or 2pm for naptime/quietime.

I am also looking for music/dance classes for the kids and for the spring I would like to get our 3 yr old in a sport (she'll be 4 by then). Any recommendations?

I am also exploring preschools for next fall and want to spend a little time before making that decision.

Oh, last but not least, are there any Santa's in the area? I haven't taken the kids yet and would like them to see a Santa (and get a picture).

Thanks in Advance.

Where are you at?

There will be a breakfast with Santa at the American Legion in Lusby from 9 till noon on Saturday. They give the kids a decent goodie bag, plus the breakfast is good. $5 for adults, your kids would be free.

Base Access, there is a preschool movement class ages 3-4 on Mondays @ 10am and Tuesdays for 4-5 yr olds also @ 10am for 8 weeks.
I am sad to say but the next session will not start back up till March. The fee is reasonable, the teacher is awesome and the students learn lot about tap. ballet, tumbling and there are games in between. It's great to watch and the kids have a blast!

Thank You so much for the feedback! We live on base.

BTW we really enjoyed the library today. The Preschool storytime was FANTASTIC and I signe up my 3 yr old for a Holiday Event for Wednesday night (I think Santa will be there). Next Thursday there is a free music class at 10:30am, I think it's a demonstration class for something called Music Time. I assume it is similar to Kindermusik. I am bringing my kids there and we'll see.

Thanks Again! Everybody I have met here in Southern MD has been really nice.
