Almost every single family I know of that experienced a miscarriage has grieved. With a few when it was far into the pregnancy - a lot. As though they had lost a child. And a few despaired to the point where they gave up entirely. Much too painful.

I think it says more about the person speaking if they’re dismissive of miscarriages as no big deal.
