And no, asp and I are not expecting  I heard on the radio coming in that there's a way to figure out if you are going to have a boy or a girl... You add the month (1-12) you conceived with your age at the time of conception and if its an even number you will have a girl, if its an odd number its a boy. The lady on the radio said the test is virtuall 99.9% accurate on determing the sex of the baby. Is this correct from y'alls experience? I didn't know there was a method that was soo clear cut as this lady was expressing on the radio this morning... she said its even MORE accurate if you conceived mid month opposed to first week into that month. Any validity?

Yes there is a way. No this isn't one of them.

I don't know about this...but my Gram was pretty accurate with a pin tied to a string held over the mom-to-be's belly. :lmao:

If it swings back and forth it is a boy, round and round it's a girl. :yay:

My wife did this. Except I think she hung the pin over the back of her hand, not her belly.

I usually don't believe in such things, but it worked accurately for all of the kids.

I was pretty much just wondering if the lady on the radio was correct and if this test in particular was accurate  I'm not carrying child nor close with anyone that is to try out this theory or any others. Lady on the radio this morning just seemed so sure of herself, as did all the other lady callers that called in to back her up... thought I'd get a good unbiased poll here to see if its true or not.

There's no medical or scientific reason for such a method to work. Months (and their corresponding numbers) are a societal fabrication and have no bearing on human physiology.

And always remember, 87.6% of statistics are made up on the spot.

I must be the .1%, because that little equation was not accurate for me.

This test along with all of the other "old wives tales" worked for me. All said it was a girl, and she is. I couldn't imagine it could be 99.9% accurate though.

This test said that my daughter was a boy. We asked our OB if he liked any method, and he said most of them were about 50% accurate.

Yea I didnt take any of the results to heart. I waited for sono confirmation before purchasing anything pink, or registering. My best friend went by the stupid tests though, and it was wrong. She has a lot of pink and purples for her son. :lmao:

:yeahthat: I believe the same is true for biorhythms, which were popular in the '70s, and for astrology.

Dems, what radio program did that method come from?
