Kamala Gets Caught in a Lie About Republicans
Harris apparently wasn’t thinking about that when
she told a big whopper to CBS News. She told CBS during a phone interview that she had been talking with Republicans about the Democrat voting bill, S. 1. Harris claimed the voting “rights” should be “a non-partisan issue” and “should be approached that way.” Of course, it’s Democrats who have politicized it, lying about Republican bills and trying to use their own bill to push their own political agenda. “I have spoken to Republican senators — both elected Republicans and Republican leaders,” Harris claimed about S. 1. “I’ve talked with [Senator Lisa] Murkowski about this issue.”
But that wasn’t at all true, as her own office had to later say, to correct her statements. Turns out that while Harris did speak to Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), it wasn’t about the voting bill, but about infrastructure, according to CBS. Murkowski’s office said it had been solely about infrastructure. So in other words, Kamala was lying and the one person she named said it wasn’t true.
Harris wanted to, falsely, suggest that there were Republicans who might go along with the Democrats’ power grab bill. The bill is a boatload of Democratic agenda items from banning voter ID to allowing ballot harvesting everywhere. But not only is Murkowski against it, so is every other Republican who has gone on record. So Harris’ effort to try to suggest anything else blew up on her and only showed her to be a liar.
Add one more thing to the list of things that will not enamor most Americans to Kamala Harris. Unfortunately, we have a doddering old man and the “back-up” is Kamala.
