We still use an LC Germain set we received as a wedding present in 1982.
They were made in Japan, but have proven very durable.

We also have a LOT of Chicago Cutlery knives from before they moved production to China.

Looking through the kitchen cutlery collection, have some Rogers and older Faberware, too.
We have enough to fully equip 3 kitchens. Not sure what is in the camp cook box.

Same. My dad thought giving me a new set of knives every other year was a good thing. Most of them were crap...

Ekco Geneva Forge we got from my best man as a wedding gift. They aren't fancy or expensive, but they're easy on the palm and hold an edge forever. They've served me well for 35 years.

A friend gave me two R.H. Forschner knives. They are huge. The butcher knife looks like something from a slasher movie. The second looks like a scimitar.
