If I ever see that Richard Reid person, I will beat the living #### out of him because now you cannot take lighters or matches aboard a plane, for fear someone will use them to light their shoe bomb. So after a 5 hour flight, you no longer have the means to run outside and smoke while waiting for your baggage to come around, unless there is some kind soul who is waiting to depart and they'll bum you a light. Possibly a plot by the Bic people? So you'll have to buy a new lighter in each city you visit?

If I were bin Laden, I'd be having some fun with this. "Hey, let's send some stooge on a plane and have him get caught with plastique up his butt. Then the security people will start doing full body cavity searches on every passenger. Hee hee!"
