Keller Bus on fire near L'Enfant Metro entrance

The fire squad had just put out the fire, but smoke was everywhere as I was walking to the L'Enfant METRO rail entrance on 7th and MD.

The back of the bus looked pretty bad, but I heard someone say no one was injured. It was probably a 905, as I sometimes take that route and I know it stops there. Luckly this morning I took the 909 in.

Seems like something is always going on w/ Keller..

I got a glance of it too, and was wondering if it was the 902. Looked like it was making the turn from Maryland onto 7th.

Glad we don't ride anymore.

Our driver, who has since retired, was driving the bus that burned up on 231 a couple of years ago. That bus was a fairly new one.

The only reason the Kellers have the contract is because there isn't any competition. They're constantly in trouble with the State folks in Baltimore.

Management sucks, the employees are good but not cared for very well.

Not surprising they catch on fire. Drivers dog the heck out of those busses.

I saw this bus on the hook about 2 hours ago heading home. Pretty much gutted the inside.

At 7:45 this morning it was still SMoKIN - I used to ride the 905 (slug line) and left my job in NW due to the close to 2 hour commute in and out every day because the 905 SUX. I had an interview this morning in NW (glutton) and of course I rode the 905. It hasnt changed. yes Keller needs some comp. bad so someone else can take this contract away from them. The management Keller is horrible. They can careless what the passengers think or have to go through. When I was a rider of the 905 - we were in 3 accidents - one the driver almost hit a lady standing on a sidewalk and buses broke down 6 times. I have gotten smart this time, I will not be ridding the 905 but unfortunatelyanother route but still Keller. Bond together bad weather is going to hit us sometime this winter so make nice and bring snacks for the long ride.
