Kennels

I used Anchor the one time I had to have Mily kenneled. They appear to have a good set up but she was pretty dirty when I got her back after just a day and a half. Anyone have any suggestions in Charles County?

In the past, I used Ridge Kennels in La Plata at the recommendation of a co-worker. I always had great care for my animals although it's probably been 5 years since I've used them.

I take mine to Cheasepeake Pet Resort in Hollywood. Dixie loved it and didn't want to come home. When i take Tuggy I will pay the extra 5.00 and give him an extra outside play time.

We used to take our beagle there, he LOVED it. He got so excited when we dropped him off, they play with the dogs, give them loads of attention, and always gave him a bath right before we picked him up.

That's why I drove so far to take my dogs there. Absolutely incredible how they treated my animals. They even separated our three dogs when the two younger ones started bullying the older one and didn't charge us extra for the additional kennel. :yay:

I left her there for a weekend. They have 2 outside 15 minute playtimes with the other dogs, and the cages, also have outside runs, so they can go outside to play. Dixie is a girly-girl and didn't want to leave the a/c'd area. They also have a tv for the dogs to watch.

It was a nice place, and dixie seemed to enjoy it. Tuggy will go the next time when I have a business trip, he didn't have his bordertella shot at that time.

This is a little late, but Chesapeake Pet Resort is WONDERFUL!!

Susan takes extra special care of my dog with 2 play times a day (standard with any dog), and special treatment because he experienced anxiety from being away from us. I highly recommend her...she has extra things, too, like walks in the woods and a lot of extra stuff that most kennels don't have. I have been very leary of leaving my dog with anyone, but I trust her a lot, and have had my dog there 4 times in the past 6 months. I won't go to anyone else.

Give her a try...you won't regret it!!
