A funny thing happened to me tonight.

I'm getting ready to leave for the evening of exciting watchstanding, and I'm bathing the newly 5 year old, and as I'm drying her off, she suddenly erupts with the word "hypotenuse".

I'm like...."what?"

So she says it again, "hypotenuse", then draws out a triangle with her finger in the air and explains that it's a side of the triangle.

She's freaking 5 years old in pre-k. I love DOD schools. :yay:

I hate watch.

But :gossip: said you were outside her window the other day standing and watching......
I did say I USED to hate standing watch. All depends on WHAT or WHO you're watching. :really:

I have two 3 year old granddaughters - and they constantly blow my mind! Like the saying goes - out of the mouthes of babes!

Wait until your 5 year old sits down and the computer and shows you something new! That's a mind blower, too!

:lmao:

DOD schools are the BEST.. Got all the way to the 7th Grade in DOD. I don't know how they are now, but they use to require a Masters Degree to be a DOD teacher, experience etc.. The teachers I had overseas were UNBELIEVABLE.. learned how to process and develop B/W film in the Fourth Grade, we even did our own yearbook that I still have.

Yeah mine will hopefully get through her 1st grade year in DOD school...then I'm off to the civilian sector. literally, wiht all the benefits I may be turning down from not going to retirement...her not getting a full DOD education is probably the most I will regret.
