Kids clothes at Sassafrass Hill?

For anyone not familiar with the name, I'm talking about the store that sells crafts in the Wildewood shopping center - near JCPenney.
Anyone else notice this? I went in there today and noticed that in the other room (the one that has the crocs in it) they had a bunch of used stuff for kids - shoes, clothes, baby stuff - even some books. Most of the clothes were for girls, and all looked in good condition - there were some really cute things in there too from gymboree and the like, but of course not in the size I was looking for.

I asked the lady up front about it and she said that they've had a consignment-type thing going on for a few months now... and she didn't know if they were still taking consignors since she isn't the person in charge of it. Anyone know anything about it, or if they are still taking consignors? I haven't seen them advertise this at all - so I wonder if it is just something that they are letting the people who sell crafts in their store do?
I always seem to miss Leprechaun Lily's and I keep saving the clothes thinking I'll make the consignor list for them next season. I never do.

TIA for any info :howdy:

I talked to the lady a few weeks ago. You can drop off any time-which is WAY nicer than the one in Mechanicsville where you have to make an appointment! I dont remember the rest of the details though. They did have a form with info on it.

Hmm - thanks. Maybe I'll stop by again on Monday or Tuesday and see if I can find out some more about it. Not sure if the lady who runs it works on weekends or not.

I didn't even realize there was a consignment place in Mechanicsville - is it right on 235/5 in a little tiny stripmall? If so I think I have seen it and thought I should go in and check it out, then forgot about it. I'll have to check it out again when I am going that way this week. Do they get many customers in there? I would think that Sassafrass Hill would get more people in and out and I'm surprised that they haven't advertised - some of the stuff they had was in excellent shape, probably new - and much cheaper than buying full priced gymboree or GAP. I've bought clothes from everywhere I think, and the Wal-Mart/Target stuff seems to fall apart quicker - even JCPenney's stuff hasn't held up for us too well. I love gymboree but I don't get up to Annapolis that often (not to mention that I don't like paying $30 for a shirt that my kids will get a stain on the first time they wear it). I love finding that kind of stuff used and in really good condition, really cheap.

I stopped by last week and was pretty impressed with the deal. The owner/organizer takes the clothes and prices them. I hated LL and having to put everything on hangers and the tags on one side by shoulder. Love the idea of dropping, but I did not look at price kick-backs.
Hope this place succeeds; right idea & great location.
