Kids growing up :(

You're a LOON :)
My oldest is graduating from 5th grade next week and today I took her shopping for a dress... She is a tomboy and when she put on that dress I saw how grown up she really is :(

At first she was adament that she wasn't wearing a dress and would just wear dress pants and a nice shirt. She NEVER wears dresses. But she decided to get a dress, then we had to get shoes and earrings and nail polish to match. And she asked to wear the necklace that belonged to her Grammie.

I did have to deny her the 3 inch heels she picked out  She modeled it for my hubby when he came home and he told her how beautiful she was. He says his little girl is growing up.

I don't want her in middle school yet :bawl: Where does the time go??

And my little girl is going in to 8th grade and is looking like a little woman now. :bawl: But she still is Daddys little girl she will come and curl up on my lap with a blanket and watch TV. I am going to miss that. :bawl:

My baby will be starting Kindergarten in the Fall. We almost lost him as a newborn so any milestone is more emotional because we almost didn't get to have the chance to even have them at all. My oldest came out acting older than he was so him growing up quickly just seems natural. I sometimes forget that he's only 8 because he acts so much older.

I know the feeling. Wasn't much fun when my youngest called me and told me totaled his car (not his fault). At least he wasn't hurt badly.

It scares the hell out of me! All these kids and parents that come into my shop really makes me want to keep them from driving forever.
