Kitty behavior issue

Is it all make believe?
I recently had my female indoor cats spayed; now one of them is acting mean and aggressive towards the other three. I think she is also suffering form separation anxiety because she will not leave my side for a minute when I'm home. Anybody else experience this..will she get over it. I feel horrible for her, me and the others!

Put her on restriction (or time out) when she acts up. Take away her cat nip, her mouse, her string. That'll teach her!!

How old is she? Ive noticed sometimes that spaying them two late creates short term behavior problems. Also has she had any kittens before the surgery? Has she ever had problems with the other 3 cats before this?

She's about a year old and has never had kittens. She also has never had a problem with the others before (two of which are her Mother and sister).

Hmmm, how long ago did she get fixed? the others didnt get fixed, right? I know that when i got one of my girls fixed she was delusional from the meds for like another 24 hours. and sore and crabby for days after.

how long has it been? It is certainly possible that she may be sick (like from germs from the vet) or maybe has an infection..my cat stuck to me like glue when she was sick..very clingy..and grumpy with the baby kitty...so if it was very recently..maybe a trip to the vet is in order to make sure shes healthy

They all were fixed at the same time...about three weeks ago. I feel so bad for the others, they don't know what's going on. We used to be such a happy family!!

How are your cats doing?

It sometimes helps to use Feliway spray in the house. It is a pheromone spray that induces a friendly or calm feeling in cats. I swear by it. Some cat owners say it doesn't work for them, but it works wonders in my gang.

Have you looked up articles on the Internet? Usually when I've had problems in the past with my cats, it's been due to some kind of a change in the house, an outdoor cat roaming around the house, one of the cats having a different scent (as when they come home from the vet's office), pain, fear, etc etc.

Just curious how things are going. :)

Just thinking, maybe she is going through kitty menopaws. (Yes, I spelled it that way on purpose)

I think it's over...or at least coming to an end. The mood was a little better and she wasn't so mean to the others this weekend. I really believe it was some sort of separation anxiety..she still won't leave my side.
