I'm interested in having an interior decorator come out to my house to help me pick paint colors, etc. Has anyone had any good (or bad) experiences? I'm in St. Mary's County and am hoping to find someone who services this area.

Has anyone ever used the person from decorating den? Not sure what her qualifications are...all the website talks about is how it's a franchise, which anyone can start. Hmmmm....

She is a trained Interior Designer with a degree from a University in Utah. She graduated #1 in her class. She is an independant contactor who works out of Traditions of Loveville.
This woman is excellent. She may have a small lead time in her scheduling but she is well worth the wait!
She did some work with my wife in our home and it looks like something out of a magazine. We always had off white walls and very neutral furniture etc. Plain Jane stuff.
They have some great prices at Traditions of Loveville on furniture and fine furnishings. They ordered most of our furniture and furnishings from Traditions and it's great.
I'm very pleased with her work. It's not a really quick process, but well woth the wait.
Additionally, she has some high profile clients in St. Mary's, Calvert and Charles County. Unfortunately, I'm not high profile.
Her prices are very reasonable too. Good Luck!

Yes, I used Joann from decorating den. She decorates by lifestyle which means she helps you pick out colors and styles based on what YOU like rather than what SHE likes. She helped me choose paint colors for one floor of my house and some furniture. The paint colors she choose were very nice and flowed well but I ended up modifying them slightly based on conversations with my painter.
