Korkie Needs a home...

Rocky Mountain High!!
We have to place Korkie - a champion sired female Rottweiler with ALL health clearances. She had a "chicklet" for dinner yesterday, and hubby's not real happy, we JUST got them Monday (rhode island reds). We've been working with her since we moved in for over a month now with the bardrocks - they're FAST little buggers and they fly good too, she just won't quit chasing them. She finally got one of the NEW ones yesterday, and everyone was really upset about it....that poor chicklet. The funeral was very nice...

Anyway, Korks is from our "P" litter, and a VERY sweet girl, great in the house and with people of all ages. She has never ever growled at any person, ever. She DOES have a ton of prey drive, so for obvious reasons, NO LOOSE CHICKENS, LOL. We've been able to make her ignore the cats (even the outside one), BUT the cats DON'T RUN from her. So if you have a bossy cat, that's fine. I might be willing to work out a breeder's contract on her if anyone is interested in giving it a whirl, but with a contract and stipulations....otherwise, spaying her is in order.
We hope to find her a home, SOON...for the remaining chicklet's sakes...chicken funerals can be expensive.

Tie the dead chicken around her neck and leave her tied with it for a few days till it smells really bad..she will leave them alone

REALLY?? :dead: i'll leave her alone for SURE.
I figured she'd eat it or roll on it...she might LIKE it... :dead:

Hello6

Princess of Mean
Tie the dead animal around it's neck? :twitch:

I think that'd be classified as cruelty to animals nowadays.
How can you blame the dog for eating chickens when 98% of all the "good" dog foods have that as the main ingredient? If dog food were made of people, I wouldn't blame the pit bulls for eating them on a regular basis. I'll admit that logic is less than logical considering I got a cat that was turned in for eating baby duckies and I can't find any duck flavored cat food. Oh well.

Not that I'd recommend it, but perhaps a shock collar for training the dog that chickens=JESUSEFFINGCHRISTTHATHURTS!!!! Somehow, that's not considered cruelty to animals.

I have never done the dead chicken around the neck deal I just heard that it works....

Hey Appy i tried the rotten stinky dead chicken around the neck thing...and SHE WON'T TOUCH MY CHICKENS NOW!!!!!

BTW the neighbor came over and wants to know what's happened to his though.... :lmao:

PS tried the shock collar on the kitty (had to put it around her midddle though she slipped it off her neck) and she's broke from chasing of chick-lets too...:killingme:

Thats what the old timers say..or tie to tail..harder by the tail I would say then they think the dead animal is chasing them...tie it up so she can not eat it..

Don't ya think if one did that, the dog's tail would end up like your neighbor's horse's tail? :killingme
