When my now 85 y/o Grandmother came to this country at the age of 6 from Norway, she was picked on terribly because she didn't speak the English language.

I was never, ever raised to use racist terms or to be one. I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, which is very culturally diverse. I was taught by my parents and family that we all bleed the same color and no one should ever be judged by the color of their skin.

Personally I think that kramer needs to file against the two for their interruptions during his act, and for their calling him a cracker, they should have to pay restitution to him for any financial damage that it may cause him in the future.

now that would be a fair ending to this whole thing

I saw Will Smith and Chris Garnder on Oprah last week talking about the movie. How inspiring to see a man pull his share to make a better life for himself and his son.

I believe he did his internship with Dean Whitter in San Francisco. I need to call my Uncle who has been with that firm for 25+ years and see if he knew the gentleman.

They dont have to pay taxes....which means the millions of dollars they rake in each year is 100% theirs.

Why should they have to pay taxes? China doesn't have to pay taxes to the US either. It's the same thing.

My point is that the indians have been treated worse than any other ethnic group in this country and they aren't asking for anything.

I agree with you for once! However they aren't asking for anything because they are actually given something. See here it is..if you are Native American by even 1/16th you can live on a Reservation with thier own laws and community. You can go to college for free and not pay taxes right? Well the Native Americans that had thier land stolen are long dead but we still give restitution to all Nativa Americans. So, that argues the point of all DECENDANTS of slaves to be given some sort of restitution as well. That is my opinion and that is not what seems to be the favorable one here.

I would think that the reason they received restitution is because they were here before us and we murdered and destroyed their reservations. they were almost exterminated. I would say that the descendants of those that survived deserve it.

I really hope that is sarcasm on your part and you don't really feel that way. There are so many different 'white' people in the US. You have to be kidding. Hopefully Whites will be a minority because everyone is ignoring race and all our children will be a wonderful mixture of what every culture has to offer. That is what I'm hoping for.

yes i was kidding. i have to tell you though your hopes are a long ways away and you can tell just by looking at this forum. no one will ever look at society as a whole as a mixture. there will always be a clear divide, i at least believe so. i wish it wasn't true, but the truth hurts

Well world changes start at home right? The best we can do is raise our children to see things that way. I don't have any yet but when I do I want them to see the world as a melting pot not as a segregated hypocrisy.

Please go read a book. The Civil War here in the Us was not fought based just upon slavery.
