Kudos to Benedict VFD!

On my way home just now, the pick-up truck in front of me suddenly slams on brakes. Luckily, my brakes are good and nobody was behind me. He was trying to avoid hitting a small dog (it appeared to be a toy pinscher). The dog had a collar on but was roaming back and forth in the road like he had no idea what was going on.

Coming from the other direction, was the Benedict VFD rescue squad truck. The driver of the rescue squad truck immediately pulled over and turned on his lights. He was stopping to help rescue the dog. :yay:

It gave me a warm fuzzy feeling.

BVFD rocks. :dude:

Lets recap here????

A dog almost causes an accident in which people could have been hurt? And all we can say is "Glad the puppy did not get hurt"

Next we will be rooting for the gators in Florida to get their afternoon human snack.

Go figure where the priorities are.

I applaud all of our Volunteers in Southern Maryland.

I do remember last year at the Boys and Girls Club of Southern Maryland's Punkin Chunkin at Sereity Farms. It was an extremely hot August day. BVFD brought their tanker ofer there and used it to spray a mist for people to walk through to cool off. Believe me, it was much appreciated!

and not one of you are willing to say what should be said.

So I will

A human life is more important than an animal. Not the other way around.

Thank you for saying what should be said! :huggy:

Amen!

Sorry, but I think it is better to help a dog get acorss the road and prevent an accident then to just let it fend for itself.

Exactly. The accident almost happened because the dog was in the roadway. Because most drivers are not azzhats, they will do all they can to not hit an animal. Therefore, removing the animal probably helped prevent a real incident.

Go ahead... recap that.
