Kudos to the Smeco guys

Just wanted to say THANKS to all those guys who work on restoring electric, our electric went out yesterday, and yes it was out for 2hrs but then came back on, I have friends who live in Montgomery Co and are still out of electricity- so to all your workers out there, who brave the the cold and the heat I say a heartfelt THANK YOU .

Folks like to rag on SMECO, particularly when it comes to outages and 'wires down' situations, they are doing an outstanding job.

Had an outage last summer where I thought my outside box (the 3'x3' feeder box) went bad, but it was a burnt out buried line 200 yards up the street. They hooked up some contraption to the lines coming to my box that told them the break was 616 feet up the street(amazing). The break was directly under my neighbors driveway. They totally replaced my feeder box, dug up and fixed the break under the neighbors driveway, back filled,tamped and gone with 6 hours. Except for the new box, you would have never known they were there..

we have had our underground feeder burn up twice, 2 day outages each time.
