You're a LOON :)
Has some really cute backpacks. I love the Critter Packs and you can buy matching lunch boxes. All my kids are too old for those, but I thought I would share.

Critter Pack: Youth Book Packs at L.L.Bean

Those are cute.. my youngest would probably love them. The older two already have LL Bean back packs. I love them. I spent over $50 each on them but they last forever. Oldest has been using hers for 3 years now, and middle kiddo has had his for 2 years.

There is an outlet store in Hagerstown you can get these backpacks for almost half of what they charge online.

It would take that much in gas for me to get there! :lmao: V8's drink lots of gas, it was cheaper to just order them! :yay:

I love LL Bean for my kids' backpacks and lunchboxes!!! I have the LL Bean credit card, which I use only when I order from them, but it gets you free shipping and monogramming. They just switched their card from Bank of America to another bank, so I have to get the new one, but it is worth it if you even order from them once a year, as there is no annual fee. I don't use it for anything else though.

Also, don't forget that they have a lifetime guarantee on all of their products, as long as you are the original owner. My son caught the zipper of his backpack on the piece of material that covers the zipper and none of us could get it unstuck. I called up LL Bean and, no questions asked said that they could take care of it two different ways: I could send it back and they would send out a new one right away or they could charge me the amount of the backpack and once they receive the old one back, they would credit my card. I had the new one in my hands about 5 days later (it had to be monogrammed), sent the old one back and got credited the cost without issue. Now that is why I love to shop LL Bean.:yay:

They do have some nice stuff at this store (I was just there in May), but alot of the backpacks, totes and stuff are ones that people had monogrammed and then returned. Although I did find a great pair of "summer sneakers" for my daughter that she wanted instead of sandals this year on their clearance shoe rack that she has just been wearing the heck out of. She can slip them on quickly, they let air in to her feet and they are great for running around in -- best money I've spent on shoes for her in a LOOOOONG time!

Do you still need a sales receipt to get a replacement? If so I would be screwed .

I didn't. When I mentioned the problem with the backpack, she asked if it was this one or that one, as I had ordered 2 around the same time, so I think they keep records for awhile. I don't remember if they looked it up by phone # or what. Their customer service has always been fantastic, so I'm sure they could help you out regardless.
