“Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if labor had not first existed. Labor is the superior of capital, and deserves much the higher consideration.” (A. Lincoln)

Lincoln was talking about the labor of the individual. Building something. On their own.
So was Frederick Douglas when, after being asked by Lincoln, what he should try and do for the freed black man after the war said, basically, let the lazy man starve. All we want is to be free and to sink or swim on our won merits like any other American.
He wasn't talking about union leadership that, long after real labor came along...exploited it.
I have noticed a lot of labor self-love being posted various places, wonder if someones feeling neglected? Seems a bit desperate.......cant wait til their push to organize foreign makers plants in the south fails again.
