Ladies Night Tonight @ Ridge Hardware 7pm-9pm

Tonight, Thursday, Dec. 10th 7pm-9pm, Ridge Hardware in Downtown Ridge. This is one of the biggest social events of the year in Ridge, besides the Carnival of course, which did not happen this year. Ladies Night at the hardware store competes with the Turkey Shoot at the Legion on Sundays as far as most favorite. We will conduct a poll later. Or maybe we should just combine the two events...

• Ladies Only - Men will be kindly asked to leave or forcefully removed (by my wife). Men are more than welcome to wait in the car with the credit card
• Lots of refreshments & food - Grandmoms Eggnogg, Betty's Chicken Salad, Ham, Christmas Cookies, Cake, Punch, Wine, Cheese & Crackers & more
• Wear your ugly Christmas sweater and receive some Mardi Gras beads to make it uglier!

• For every $20 you spend, you will be entered in a drawing for a Mary Lou Troutman Painting - Drawing live on FB Friday Dec. 11th @ Noon

I am sorry I cannot attend this year. Trying to get my store ready to close- in particular trying to remove the wash tubs- is taking all my energy; both physical and mental!

Oh yeah - something new this year - live music. We have a local kid from GMHS Band who will be playing the saxophone for us!

We had a great turnout tonight! We were concerned because of the weather but that didn’t seem to hurt us. Grandmom’s eggnog and my wife’s chicken salad keeps ‘em coming back. The sax player was a nice touch. The women hung around all night drinking adult beverages, eating, and listening to music - I think everyone had a good time.
