I have very close friends who attend that church in La Plata. They always spoke highly of him.

Know the family also, not real well, his younger son went through school with my kids. Sat on bleachers many times with him and his wife watching our kids play basketball. When I pulled the paper out of the paper box this morning was totally shocked to see the headline and his picture. Very sad.

All kidding aside, that is a wicked way to go... and for "material things".

Online court records indicated the younger Harris has been charged in Charles County with second-degree assault, trespassing, theft and malicious destruction of property. He wasn't convicted in any of those cases, and the charges were placed on inactive dockets.

This is why we should just put habitual criminals to death. This guy has obviously had problems, yet some judge let him slide so that he could later burn his father to death.

Great judicial system we got here.
