The Speaker announced that the House do now adjourn. The next meeting is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on June 17, 2008.

10:02 A.M. -
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Chair designated Mrs. Capps to lead the Members in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
The Speaker announced approval of the Journal. Pursuant to clause 1, rule I, the Journal stands approved.

Today's prayer was offered by Pastor George Torres, Jr., International Calvary Church, Springfield, Virginia

The House convened, starting a new legislative day.
The Speaker designated the Honorable Lois Capps to act as Speaker pro tempore for today.​
