Late Breakfast

A little taste of a NY Deli. Fried egg on a Kaiser roll with breakfast sausage, salt, pepper and ketchup.

Harris Teeter has Kaiser rolls that are very much like a NY deli Kaiser, if you get them fresh. A few minutes in the toaster and you're good to go!

Hard rolls!!! Nothing like them. Difficult to find outside of the NY/NJ area. Same goes for good Italian bread, not the hot dog buns they try to push off as French or Italian bread.

Slap a little real butter on them rolls, makes a great b'fast on the go.

That was a weekend breakfast growing up. A buttered roll and coffee, followed by a jelly donut from Tilda's bakery in Rocky Point, NY.

Damn. Another reason for a road trip.
