Let's look at it this way. How many times has a teacher collected a note from a student that said something horrible or tragic was going to happen? Don't get off topic

All it takes is once. I'd rather that an observant teacher be there to catch it in time. In the meantime, if all the meaningless notes give the teacher an occasional chuckle, that's just a bonus for them. Lord knows they aren't being paid boatloads of cash; give the poor bastards a fringe benefit here and there.
