Lawless: The wettest county in the world

Just watched it on Showtime... Very intriguing movie... well directed, well acted... story based on non-fiction. I recommend you give it a watch...:yay: :yay:

Here is a blurb from the grandson of one of the characters in the movie:

I think my grandfather would be delighted at being portrayed by as talented a young actor as Shia LaBeouf. He stars in the new film Lawless, based on my novel The Wettest County in the World, which dramatized the events surrounding my Grandpa Jack’s bootlegging business—and a shooting that my family didn’t discover for years.

The Real Story Behind

I thought Shia LaBeouf was in jail?

Doesn't look like anything major... but he could have used a little prohibition...:ohwell:

Shia Labeouf did not go to jail, he wasn't even sent to the Police station.
According to a late night talk show interview, he contiually went to a Walgreen's after cigarettes, changing clothes in between times because he was drunk and felt stupid going back. He and a security guard had words and he was sent to the "drunk tank", as he called it, for the night. Admittedly very embarrassing, but completely harmless.

Good movie. It made me want to go out and find a bad guy to stand up to, but there wasn't one readily available and by the time I had time to go find one I had forgotten that I wanted to. :ohwell:
