A series of thefts in Fairfax County, Va., has given new meaning to the phrase, "dog-gone-it".
After her yard decorations were stolen on four different occasions, a 75-year-old Mclean, Va., woman finally went to the police for help.
In April, a ceramic raccoon was taken. In June, a figurine of a deer disappeared from the front yard. A few days later, someone took the replacement deer and, two days later, a squirrel statue joined the menagerie of the missing.
Fairfax County police detectives, suspecting the woman was being targeted, set up a camera surveillance system to catch the thief. They said the camera caught the four-legged bandit stealing ceramic sculptures on four separate occasions.
