First off, we should understand that there is no doubt that a lawyer can steal from you. We are talking about the same people who are legally allowed to use scare tactics and manipulative language to trick you into signing binding contracts that allow them to charge huge amounts of money for their work. The law, in certain situations, gives lawyers the right to sue their clients if they do not pay their bills. If you do not pay your lawyer's fee, they can take you to court, which will cost you more. Recently my friend that works as an expungement lawyer solved a case with a "lawyer" that stole around 100.000$ from a client and told me that the law society is full of such fake lawyers.
