You really don't get it, do you? I can almost hear Don Knotts' voice in your posts. The only one in here more obtuse than you has GOT to be JPC.
You puff your chest out spouting terms like "OPSEC" and "ABC's" because you think it makes you sound like you're "In the Know". All it does is make you sound like yet another Barney Fife wanna-be who is convinced of his own importance and is trying too hard to convince everyone else of the same. :loser:
Thats pretty much all you have to say since Ive shut you up. But if you want the last word, TAKE IT. I just want people to understand my point.

I'll be passing through the gates shortly. I'll let you guys know what I see.

Hey GRSHPPR when do you work? I bet you don't have internet access in that guard shack......

Went through gate 2 again. One guy working traffic, the other sitting in the shack texting on his cell phone. Traffic wasn't horrible like yesterday.

If there's so many MA's, more of you need to be utilized at the gate instead of riding doubles on patrol.

My point IS that you can monitor a cell phone with the proper equipment, so your intimation that the guards are using cell phones because the radio can be monitored is, at best, ignorant; at worst a bald-faced lie.
There are certain cellular phones which cannot be monitored live!

Okay...for the gate guards and other wanna-be's on the site...you know what I'd say about what I saw when I passed through gate 2 today about 1:45, that I'm not going to post out here (because this is actual OPSEC stuff)...but you know as well as I do that it's wasting manpower on the wrong things.

As soon as you become base commander you'll be able to fix the problem

....because it takes a base commander to spot things that are wrong and correct them, does it?
.... because things are done on base the way the base commander wants them done.

...and that's fine and dandy....now, when a solution presents itself, it should be taken into account and acted upon. For example, instead of having people doubled up sitting in an air-conditioned patrol unit running radar during a high-volume period, move one of them to the gate so that two guards can double the volume of traffic coming back onto the base from lunch instead of allowing traffic to congest in a small area.

Maybe I work odd hours...what's it like to be off at 3pm on weekdays? How about weekends?
