So, second leak in two years. First I dug out and repaired myself. This one, I didnt have time for, given it would drain into the construction zone, and thats not fair for me to flood the state guys while I trench around.
So, I get them out here, they use the small excavator to dig out in about 3 minutes what would have been hours for me. Find the leak, get it fixed. I suspected once I knew about the second leak it was substandard work of some sort. Turns out, the pipe used as about half of the thickness these guys recommended. They said ti should be at least 160psi black PE, and the stuff thats in there is maybe 100psi.
So, lesson is, if you are having outside water service lines run, ask what kind of pipe, makes sure its up to snuff.
