there is no way it could hurt.....

You think he could take a hit from Ray Lewis?

why would he be scared of an old man?:killingme

at he weighs around 240...he could bulk that up 15 pounds pretty quickly i'm sure....if guys like Deshawn Jackson can take a hit I'm sure Lebron could.....and big and fast as he is i'm sure he'd be ok...

something i'm pretty sure we'll never see though...but as a Browns fan I can say they need to do something to keep us interested.

I could help the Browns.

This is 100% non sense. Could he be an NFL player if he committed to it? Sure. He is a phenomenal athlete.

Could he do that and keep playing in the NBA?

Nope. He is so far removed from football shape it's not even funny. It's just a different kind of 'in shape', the pounding, the weight work. Once he was prepared for football, he'd have way too much muscle for basketball.

Of course he could. Then, when he woke up, he could learn all about the aches and pains and hurt that he hasn't felt since high school in places he hasn't worked since high school.

6' 8", 250 #'s of lean basketball machine. Ray'd hurt him but good. And so would everyone else in the league.

The more I think about this the more I see this as an arrogant insult to NFL players. Go ahead, LaBron, dedicate your life to football. Go see how tough Tony Gonzalez and Antonio Gates and Larry Fitzgerald really are and how hard it really is to play 16 games of NFL football. Go ahead.

I don't think he could handle the grind of an NFL season either. Don't get me wrong basketball takes a toll on your knees and ankles but not like football.

an insult? nah...

Chris Cooley 6'3 255

Dallas Clark 6'3 252

Desean Jackson 5'10 175

just a random sample of people i could think of...like you said before..it's nonsense because it wouldnt happen...but Lebron is a rare specimen...I think he could give it a good run if he put in the time..

Got nothing to do with size. It's all about the pounding. :buddies:

As I say, I'm not doubting he could play in the NFL. I am saying it would be one hell of an adjustment AND it would obviate a dual career.

Basketball players aren't athletes.

Now, if he was a golfer, I 'd say he had a chance. John Daly would be one mean defensive tackle.
