I was thinking that about Nosferatu yesterday. Can the families of those murdered by illegal aliens sue him after he's out of govt? Presidential immunity does not apply to cabinet secretaries does it?

I can tell you how bad it is.
Nancy Pelosi set up the whole mess on J-6. She planned the whole thing. Not only wasn't there enough police presence, some of them were on leave.
Government agitators were there some from the FBI ,IMO. The whole thing was created to make Trump look bad. Then she called it an insurrection.
People were placed in prison where they now sit after 3 1/2 years without trial. WITHOUT TRIAL. A violation of their Constitutional rights, not to mention their Civil Rights. Hundreds of people were investigated and charged and their lives and finances ruined. many were imprisoned. One even committed suicide. A crazed panicked police Lieutenant murdered an young veteran woman and got a promotion to Captain. Another woman beaten to death by a female police officer. No trials or investigations held. All because Nancy Pelosi refused Trump offer of national Guard because this is the mess she wanted. Nancy Pelosi free as a bird and rich as Midas, and as evil as Charlie Manson.

You can forget lies or endangering the country. Unless the lie was willful and violates an oath as to truthfulness they are meaningless. Endangering the country is too subjective that it would be almost indefinable short of actual treason or insurrection. As for fraud you need very definable acts, so have at it, find which law would apply - here are the US Code Fraud statutes.
