alright, some cities are asking their National Guards, (the NATIONAL GUARD) to come in and restore civility and laws because crime is out of control

some sheriffs and police chiefs are telling their troops to NOT enforce insurrection of migrant camps, minor trespassing, pandering, traffic violations..

The Gestapo DNC wants to control every aspect your life. But they hate police.

Can you connect the dots in this rather obvious plot?

HERE'S what I don't get ---

Is crime up - or down? Clearly - people believe it is up. CLEARLY - data collection that I've seen, says otherwise.

Here's what I don't know - I don't know what the data is based on. Companies are pulling up stakes in states, major cities and neighborhoods - stores are closing - because of crime. Those are big decisions.

NYC is putting the National Guard in the subway system.

Why, oh why then, if all data says, don't worry folks, crime is actually WAY DOWN, even with reduced police force, fewer arrests and so on.

Is it because - no one is DOING anything about it? Not reporting it, not making arrests, not responding? I DO know there are regions and instances where crime is happening - and the police don't bother. They don't intervene.

So which is it? Up or down? If it's - down - why the need for the extra troops? All that effort to make people FEEL better?

The Democrats stats can say the nation is "crime free" if you don't bother to keep track of it.

The photos and videos I've seen, they aren't unarmed. The question is do they have ammo for the rifles they are carrying.
Last news I heard on the subject, Hochul was ordering them not to carry their rifles.

Maybe she recinded it, but that's what was reported.

The new progressive DA's are ignoring small crimes or what they are calling small crimes. Petty thefts, muggings, etc. It seems as long as no gun is involved it doesn't count. What we knew were crimes all along for years are not being included in stats.

Also - crime rate is computed PER CAPITA. It does kind of make sense - obviously if population remains stable but crime goes UP, the rate goes up.

Where it DOESN'T make sense is when you have a city that gains population for whatever reason, but the crime doesn't go up as much - you'll say that crime went down, even though the numbers went UP.

Typical example - used to live in an old neighborhood in Montgomery County. VERY LOW crime and the cops tended to be suspicious when it was reported. New development up the street. LOTS of new crime BUT - the total new population makes the RATE of crime appear stable - even though the residents were used to very low INCIDENTS of crime.

NOW - we have the added situation where things like mass lootings are just ignored - shoplifiting is ignored - vandalism is ignored.
So those numbers don't go anywhere. But - murders, up, rape, up, carjackings - up. The INCIDENTS are way up, but the rate is reported as down, because there's twice as many PEOPLE, so it comes out as SAFER. Chances are good that these crimes are the SAME PEOPLE committing MORE crime and getting away with it - but the numbers say, safer.

Go with your gut.

Stat's are down because so many crimes have been decriminalized, therefore, no stat's = crime down.
It's because big city DAs aren't prosecuting, or even charging, crimes. And also because theft, assault, etc have been decriminalized in these Democrat hellscapes. When nothing is illegal, your crime rate is zero.
It is because the "stats" that are proving the "story" that crime is down comes from information about crimes that are handled by law enforcement and NOT crimes that have been reported.
Simply put, there could be 100 crimes reported to the police BUT, if the police only respond or handle 20 of those reports then crime is down.

Not since Kent State has any Governor been stupid enough to allow ammunition to National Guardsmen they have formally brought to quell incidents. These people are not trained for civil incidents. They are people who are taken from their regular jobs and made to walk the streets to show the flag. I doubt seriously if any of them are authorized to even carry a billy-club.

Cool. So defunding the entire Police Force will end crime.

:yay: :yay:
Huh? Did I not explain it simply enough?
Defunding police will most certainly increase crime.
The point I was making is that it is all about the viewpoint and what statistics are being used to report that crime is down.

Sure does seem like we're being fed a heaping bowl of bullsht. Police recruitment way down, retirements up, funding down (in some places) and depleting law enforcement, overall.

That, plus - no bail in major cities.

And crime is- DOWN?

Makes me glad I'm approaching retirement age.

It'll be nice to just leave the area and watch the cities burn on the nightly news.
