SpaceX has reportedly fired employees who participated in writing and distributing an open letter criticizing Elon Musk.

Shockingly, when you try to use company resources to publicly attack your boss, there might be repercussions....

Excerpt from Gwynne Shotwells letter to employees.

"[SpaceX has] terminated a number of employees involved" with the letter, she wrote. "The letter, solicitations and general process made employees feel uncomfortable, intimidated and bullied, and/or angry because the letter pressured them to sign onto something that did not reflect their views. We have too much critical work to accomplish and no need for this kind of overreaching activism."

In the SpaceXlounge subreddit, one user said he wished there were a way to remove any mention of Musk from crossing his awareness every day.

Well, I don't know that they guy that made that comment works for SpaceX, most likely just another triggered liberal who like space. These guys are having a hard time recently. They love what SpaceX is doing, but they aer literally not allowed to like anyone who doesnt agree with thier politics.

SpaceX president dismisses letter criticizing Musk's infamous behaviour as 'overreaching activism'

The letter reportedly complained about issues like Musk’s "no ---hole" policy and said his actions negatively reflect on the work and values of SpaceX employees.

SpaceX staffers allegedly called his public comments "a frequent source of distraction and embarrassment," and called on top leadership to rein him in.

Gwynne Shotwell, president and chief operating officer of SpaceX, then "terminated a number of employees involved" with the letter Thursday afternoon, The New York Times first reported Friday.

The exact number of terminated employees remains unknown.
