We've done the Books for Soldiers program at Xmas the last two years and want to try something new this year. We're going to local grade schools and having the classes write letters of thanks. The best letter wins their class a pizza party and we'll send the letters over to various troop locations....any additional suggestions on how to improve this would be appreciated!

That sounds like a great idea too me! maybe you could set it up like an angel tree, the kids could go pick a random boy/girl angel then write to them. Then they could feel like it's their own pen pal.

I am not sure who you would call, but i am sure there is a number somewhere that you could call and "adopt" a troop. That way you could get names....
