Monday morning quarterbacking my ass. It’s not like EVERYONE didn’t say spending all that money was gonna cause inflation. It’s not like they weren’t WARNED that driving up the cost of gasoline and oil wasn’t going to cause inflation.

Illinois Gov. Pritzker Declares State Of Emergency As Illegal Immigrants Flood Chicago

Abbott’s spokesperson, Renae Eze, told the Daily Caller that the Democratic governors are “hypocrites” for taking these actions on migrants arriving to their cities.

“So much for Chicago’s ‘Welcoming City Ordinance.’ These Democrat elites are absolute hypocrites, and now their hypocrisy is on full display for the entire nation. Governor Pritzker and Mayor Lightfoot have been complaining about a few hundred migrants being bused into self-declared sanctuary city Chicago, then turn around and dump them in the suburbs for Republican mayors to deal with,” she told the Daily Caller.

“Governor Pritzker and his staff have also at no point made any effort to reach out to Governor Abbott or his office. Instead of complaining about fulfilling their ‘welcoming city’ promises and spreading false claims of contacting our office, these Democrat hypocrites should call on President Biden to do his job and secure the border—something the President continues failing to do,” she continued.

Senate Candidate Mandela Barnes Gives AOC a Run for Her Money as Densest Democrat

He apparently doesn’t care that it gets super cold in his home state and citizens of the cheese state need gas and oil to avoid freezing to death. Nope. The earth is about to die and we, as earthlings must do our part and freeze to death to save Mother Earth.

Is he a dope? Well sure, but he is named “Mandela” now so he must be a wise statesman, right?

Or not.

Barnes has been consistent in his dopey policies, and if his policies became law they would wreck Wisconsin and, potentially, the country. He seems to not care that his position of stopping all gas and oil production would leave his home state in the 19th century but no matter, the earth is in the balance, or something.

Look, Barnes’ policies are bad enough, and they are not based on science or logic. We are not, even under the best-case scenario, turning off the oil spigot anytime in our lifetimes.

Remember When Democrats Blocked Trump from Filling the Strategic Oil Reserve While Gas Was Cheap?

In March, Joe Biden ordered the release of millions of barrels from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in order to address the record-high gas prices that were plaguing the nation. Gas prices are still way above normal, and Biden is still tapping those reserves, but he has a plan: once oil prices drop below $80/barrel, we’ll restock it.

How considerate.

It’s just too bad we didn’t load up the reserves when gas prices were much cheaper.

Oh, wait, Trump tried to do that. But Democrats stopped him.

“It was only two years earlier that Democrats blocked former President Trump from filling the reserve when oil was hovering around $24 per barrel,” reports Bloomberg. “Trump in March of 2020 was looking to stabilize the oil industry after Covid-19 hit in 2020 and crushed global petroleum demand. With oil at the time priced at about $24 a barrel, Republicans proposed spending $3 billion to fill up the reserve. But the idea became a political football in larger negotiations on trillions in coronavirus relief, with Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer proclaiming that his party had blocked a ‘bailout for big oil.’”

This was an incredibly costly decision. According to Bloomberg, because of the Democrats’ grandstanding over “big oil” profits, the United States effectively lost billions in potential profits, not to mention that there was less supply

🔥 The Democrats have gotten their sticky little hands stuck in the fake news cookie jar, this time. A TikTok video went viral this weekend, which simultaneously illustrated the underhanded tactics of the left, rogue deep state government actors, massive funding, and the shady NGOs carrying out its demonic agenda — as well as the how desperate it’s getting.

The viral video was posted by a popular TikTok “Harvard trial attorney” Preston Moore (@trialbypreston). He wasn’t happy. Not at all.

First of all, as I can assure you, since I’m also a lawyer who posts on social media, serious lawyers are always careful to tell what they believe is the truth, especially online, because their reputation has to be solid in front of judges and juries. A reputation for lying kind of hurts if you’re a trial lawyer. Not to overlook ethics, of course.

Second, on his TikTok channel, Preston has been consistently critical of the former president. He has repeatedly posted about his opinion that the FBI has enough evidence to indict President Trump for concealing national defense information, for example.

I’m sure that’s why they thought it was safe to contact him. They forgot some people care about ethics and telling the truth.

In his latest video, Preston says he got an unsolicited email invitation from “Jane” at the “Good Info Foundation,” offering a “paid collaboration” where he could earn $400 for making certain posts to his TikTok and Instagram accounts.

Curious, he responded that he was interested, and then got a link to a private web page providing instructions for what needed to be in the paid post. The Good Info Foundation (or, the “GIF”) wanted him to talk about January 6th, but from a certain, er, point of view:

Preston thought all this seemed kind of sketchy. Then he noticed under the heading, “Key Messaging (in your own words!),” the Good Info Foundation’s private web page advised him to make this remarkable claim:

Preston followed up, emailing back and asking Jane to explain what evidence backed up the claim that the Trump campaign paid “literally millions of dollars to make” the January 6th siege happen. And guess what? Jane didn’t provide any evidence. She backed off and said, “you don’t have to say that if you don’t want to.”

Here’s Preston, in his own words:

🔥 So, who or what is this Good Info Foundation anyway? The GIF’s list of board members and officers is a rogue’s gallery of Deep State operatives. For example, the GIF’s board chairman is Richard Stengel, a former State Department official (and then ‘MSNBC contributor’). Alert independent investigators quickly dug up this video clip featuring Stengel speaking in 2020:

https://twitter.com/MaxBlumenthal/status/1326575255444402176?s=20&t=2c-2mF3q7jQdFGtS9XJXrw

In the clip,* Stengel explains when he worked at the U.S. State Department, his job was literally called the “Chief Propagandist.” I am not making that up. And then I nearly spit out my coffee when he says this:

“I’m not against propaganda. Every country does it. And they have to do it to their own population. And I don’t think it’s that awful.”
Um. They HAVE TO DO IT THEIR OWN POPULATION. They “have to.” That used to be illegal! Oh well, at least he admitted it. But, just spitballing here, maybe it’s time for a new Church Committee. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_Committee

Apparently Richard’s “Good Info” — a non-profit public interest organization — is now paying TikTok influencers $400 bucks PER POST to propagandize Americans about January 6th and falsely claim that Trump paid millions to “make it happen.”

I don’t think “good information” means what they think it means. You usually don’t have to pay like-minded influencers to talk about “good” information.

Another “advisor” listed on the GIF’s website is Dan Pfieffer, who used to be Obama’s White House Communications Director. The website identifies a woman named Tara McGowan as the “founder” of GIF. InfluenceWatch describes McGowan as “a Democratic political operative,” and says this about her:

InfluenceWatch didn’t list Good Information, Inc., which runs the Good Info Project, but it did mention this interesting little nugget:

$65 million! That’s a whole lot for one single project. Pretty ambitious. Having tried my hand at some public-interest fund-raising, I know how much work it takes.

That time a Democrat lawyer accused praying Christians of doing a Nazi salute

A Democrat lawyer thought he’d own the conservative voters supporting Doug Mastriano at a campaign rally. There is video of a man on a stage who is firing up the audience by telling a story of early American settlers and leading them in a prayer. Prayer is not an unusual thing at a conservative event but progressives don’t seem to grasp that concept. It can be argued that this person on Twitter didn’t know that conservatives have been known to pray but after the events of the past six years, progressives have shown that they are all about owning the cons over everything else. Most of all, they want voters to think that Republicans are Nazis. Yeah, it’s pretty tiresome.

If you listen to the video, you can hear the person asking the crowd to raise their right arm and then to lower it as he talks about Gettysburg and praying for victory. There is no “Heil Hitler” to be heard or anything else that would cause a jaw to drop. Raising an arm in worship is not unusual in many Christian churches.

Republican candidate Doug Mastriano is running against Democrat Josh Shapiro, the Pennsylvania Attorney General for governor. Mastriano is endorsed by Trump. Mastriano was greatly helped in the Republican primary by Democrats who wanted him to win, figuring he’d be easy for Shapiro to beat in the November general election. Democrats spent millions of dollars in support of candidates they preferred to run against, mostly Trump-endorsed candidates. Well, they got what they wanted and now Mastriano is closing the gap with Shapiro.

From Sweden to the U.S.: Folks getting tired of being told they're too "undereducated" to wipe their own noses

There seems to be a rumbling in the distance going on, and it’s not just isolated enclaves in the U.S. All over the world, signs point to regular folks, average working, middle-class stiffs, being about up to their eyeballs with the disconnected elites in power in so many countries. Even once hard-core Socialist bastions like Sweden have seen the people who actually pay the freight for the Socialist paradise to exist, show up at the ballot box and vote – if you listened to those running the show – definitively against their best interests (Interests, not surprisingly, best determined by those holding office. That’s how this works.).

Whatever could be causing this breakaway from the benevolent dictatorship of the (immensely proud of being) over-educated ruling class? A culmination of any number of things, but it mostly boils down to arrogance and the attempted imposition of a serf class on citizenry who remember what it was like to have rights in a livable country that was secure.

In Sweden, last week’s Parliament elections have most of Europe gasping for breath. Good, old reliably Socialist Sweden threw a five-alarm fire switch on the status quo when they elected a Parliament that would be 20.5% Sweden Democrats. Don’t let the name fool you – they are a right-wing nationalist, anti-immigrant, and anti-Muslim party, who have been making steady gains over the past few election cycles, but now? Hello. They are the second largest party in the Swedish Parliment.

…The Sweden Democrats were part of a right-wing bloc that won the election, if narrowly. The Social Democrat prime minister, Magdalena Andersson, conceded defeat and resigned. Ulf Kristersson of the centre-right Moderate party (which won 19.1 per cent of the vote) is now the prime minister in waiting and must stitch together a government. Whether that government will include the Sweden Democrats, or whether they’ll just agitate from the backbenches, remains to be seen. For years there has been a pact in the Swedish establishment never to engage with the Sweden Democrats. That is how significant the election result is. That is why it feels like an ‘earthquake’. Because a party that was treated as a political untouchable, as so vile that a cordon sanitaire had to be put around it, is now the second-largest in parliament, with a remarkable 73 seats. No wonder the managerial elites everywhere from New York to Berlin to Stockholm are reeling.

NY Times blames the collapse of the Women's March on Russian trolls (not the co-chair's fondness for Louis Farrakhan)

I’m not sure what the point of this story published yesterday is except maybe to try to rehabilitate Linda Sarsour’s badly damaged image. Reporter Ellen Barry makes a sustained argument that the Women’s March didn’t collapse because its leaders were far left nuts with connections to Louis Farrakhan. Instead, Barry says it fell apart because its leaders and Linda Sarsour in particular were targeted by Russian trolls.

Many people know the story about how the Women’s March movement fractured, leaving lasting scars on the American left.
A fragile coalition to begin with, it headed into crisis over its co-chairs’ association with Louis Farrakhan, the Nation of Islam leader, who is widely condemned for his antisemitic statements. When this surfaced, progressive groups distanced themselves from Ms. Sarsour and her fellow march co-chairs, Carmen Perez, Tamika Mallory and Bob Bland, and some called for them to step down.
But there is also a story that has not been told, one that only emerged years later in academic research, of how Russia inserted itself into this moment.

[clip]

There was a lot more to the story, none of which makes it into Ellen Barry’s story. The ADL was criticizing the March co-founders for their closeness to Louis Farrakhan back in March 2018. Even under pressure, Tamika Mallory refused to distance herself from Farrakhan. Progressive actress and activist Alyssa Milano later criticized the co-chairs of the group for their proximity to Farrakhan. Not long after that, one of the founders of the Women’s March called on the co-chairs, including Linda Sarsour to step down.

Bob Bland, Tamika Mallory, Linda Sarsour and Carmen Perez of Women’s March, Inc. have steered the Movement away from its true course. I have waited, hoping they would right the ship. But they have not. In opposition to our Unity Principles, they have allowed anti-Semitism, anti- LBGTQIA sentiment and hateful, racist rhetoric to become a part of the platform by their refusal to separate themselves from groups that espouse these racist, hateful beliefs. I call for the current Co-Chairs to step down and to let others lead who can restore faith in the Movement and its original intent.

Then there was a piece published by Tablet which discussed in great detail how anti-Semitism had been a part of the organization from the moment it was founded. I wrote about it at the time. The Tablet story described an incident at the very first meeting of the seven women who created the Women’s March:

According to several sources, it was there—in the first hours of the first meeting for what would become the Women’s March—that something happened that was so shameful to many of those who witnessed it, they chose to bury it like a family secret. Almost two years would pass before anyone present would speak about it.
It was there that, as the women were opening up about their backgrounds and personal investments in creating a resistance movement to Trump, Perez and Mallory allegedly first asserted that Jewish people bore a special collective responsibility as exploiters of black and brown people—and even, according to a close secondhand source, claimed that Jews were proven to have been leaders of the American slave trade. These are canards popularized by The Secret Relationship between Blacks and Jews, a book published by Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam—“the bible of the new anti-Semitism,” according to Henry Louis Gates, Jr., who noted in 1992: “Among significant sectors of the black community, this brief has become a credo of a new philosophy of black self-affirmation.”

According to the same story, there was another ugly incident shortly after the successful march.

At the end of January, according to multiple sources, there was an official debriefing at Mallory’s apartment. In attendance were Mallory, Evvie Harmon, Breanne Butler, Vanessa Wruble, Cassady Fendlay, Carmen Perez and Linda Sarsour. They should have been basking in the afterglow of their massive success, but—according to Harmon—the air was thick with conflict. “We sat in that room for hours,” Harmon told Tablet recently. “Tamika told us that the problem was that there were five white women in the room and only three women of color, and that she didn’t trust white women. Especially white women from the South. At that point, I kind of tuned out because I was so used to hearing this type of talk from Tamika. But then I noticed the energy in the room changed. I suddenly realized that Tamika and Carmen were facing Vanessa, who was sitting on a couch, and berating—but it wasn’t about her being white. It was about her being Jewish. ‘Your people this, your people that.’ I was raised in the South and the language that was used is language that I’m very used to hearing in rural South Carolina. Just instead of against black people, against Jewish people. They even said to her ‘your people hold all the wealth.’ You could hear a pin drop. It was awful.”

Ken Burns Holocaust PBS Doc Ends With Calling Republicans Nazis

As was inevitable.

I’ll have an article on Ken Burns exploiting the Holocaust to call for open borders and bash Republicans while covering up FDR’s role in the Holocaust later this week, but the sheer awfulness of it can be summed up in this paragraph from the equally antisemitic Guardian which never stops calling for the destruction of the Jewish State or justifying the murder of Jews.

It may be Burns’s most didactic film yet as it ends provocatively with images of Dylann Roof, who shot and killed nine African American congregants at a church in South Carolina; white supremacists marching with flaming torches in Charlottesville, Virginia, chanting “Jews will not replace us!”; the killing of 11 worshippers at a synagogue in Pittsburgh; and the storming of the US Capitol by a mob of Donald Trump supporters on 6 January 2021.

“Provocatively” in this case means shamelessly exploiting the Holocaust for a leftist agenda.

Only two, at best three, if you count Camp Auschwitz guy and Hitler guy, have anything to do with Jews and the Holocaust. But, most notably, they pretend that antisemitism is a phenomenon that wholly exists on one side, just shortly after the New York Times pushed the false claim that Jewish critics of Linda Sarsour’s antisemitism were Russian trolls.

“We were obligated to do that because the way we mount this series is we begin with antisemitism in America and racism and the pernicious slave trade and xenophobia and nativism and eugenics,” he explains. “We’re obligated then to not close our eyes and pretend this is some comfortable thing in the past that doesn’t rhyme with the present.”

The slave trade?

“But I am also talking about Britain. I am also talking about the rise of the right in France. I’m talking about Viktor Orbán in Hungary, Bolsonaro in Brazil and a tendency.”

Curiously, not about Iran, Hamas or any of the Jihadists who actually want to perpetrate another Holocaust.

The slave trade is part of the conversation, but Hitler’s Mufti and a regime whose motto is “Death to America, Death to Israel” isn’t.

“Roosevelt had to combat an isolationist America First committee. We meet characters like Breckinridge Long, this implacable antisemite and assistant secretary of state in the Roosevelt administration’s state department who does everything he can to obscure or bury news about the coming Holocaust and make it increasingly more difficult for refugees who are fulfilling the requirements.
“He’s always changing the requirements, raising the bar, moving the goalposts. He reminds me a little bit of Stephen Miller [a senior adviser to Trump] in the previous administration.

Burns is deep in whitewashing FDR here who was violently antisemitic. The State Department was doing his bidding by keeping Jews from coming to America.
