Biden, Schumer are using ESG to come after your retirement savings and bipartisan efforts won't stop them

Progressive Democrats pushing the ESG (environmental, social and governance) agenda are focused on controlling the private decisions and beliefs of millions of Americans. Worse, they are increasingly willing to lie about what ESG is in order to gaslight Americans into compliance, or at least apathy toward this massive scheme.

Take Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., who recently penned a Wall Street Journal op-ed with this headline, "Republicans Ought to Be All for ESG."

Schumer was expressing his support for a recent Labor Department rule allowing retirement fund managers to use workers’ savings to advance leftist political goals. Before rounding on Republicans, though, Schumer should check with his own party. As Senator Joe Manchin’s (D-WV) website states – "the Biden Administration’s ESG rule . . . prioritizes politics over getting the best returns for millions of Americans’ retirement investments."

Obviously, that’s a terrible idea.

Hey, lets those who want to do it, do it. But once they lose their money don't come crying for a govt bailout.

I thought the FBI and other federal agencies actually stopped using the SPLC as a credible source of info during the Obama years?

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer Whitewashes Her Authoritarian Lockdowns With Whopper About Seed Sale Ban

There were moments where we, you know, had to make some decisions that, in retrospect, don’t make a lot of sense, right?” Whitmer told CNN’s Chris Wallace this week. “If you went into the hardware store, if you go to the hardware store, we didn’t want people, you know, all congregating around the gardening supplies. People said, ‘Oh, she’s outlawed seeds.’”

Whitmer tried to couch her false characterization of the order by begrudgingly admitting it “maybe was a little more than we needed to do.” Her confession, however, was far from apologetic and failed to capture the damage she did to her state.

Whitmer then pretended her order banning the sale of seeds in big stores was justified because “it was February in Michigan, no one was planting anyway,” but Whitmer didn’t even announce the restrictions on goods in the gardening section until April 9, 2020.

At the beginning of what the Old Farmer’s Almanac called “the earliest spring in over 100 years,” Whitmer called for all “garden centers and plant nurseries” in stores with 50,000 square feet or more to be closed off “by cordoning them off, placing signs in aisles, posting prominent signs, removing goods from shelves, or other appropriate means.”

“If you’re not buying food or medicine or other essential items, you should not be going to the store,” Whitmer said at a press conference on the day she signed the order.

More Republican unapproved military record requests

The hits just keep on coming for Due Diligence Group, the Democrat-aligned group that has been found to have requested the military records of Republican political candidates. Congressmen Don Bacon of Nebraska and Zach Nunn of Iowa already learned that the group sought their Air Force records without their consent. Now another person has come forward. Abraham Payton of Due Diligence Group sought the National Guard records of New York Assemblyman Colin Schmitt last summer when he was running for Congress. The group was definitely up to more activities of this type and we almost certainly do not have the full list of victims yet. (Politico)

A Democratic-aligned firm made a failed attempt to obtain personal information from the Army National Guard on at least one House Republican candidate, according to a document obtained by POLITICO.
It’s the same firm that the Air Force has identified as securing the unauthorized release of multiple House GOP candidates’ records last year.
Abraham Payton of the research firm Due Diligence Group attempted in August to obtain the personnel records of Colin Schmitt — a GOP member of the New York state assembly — from the Army National Guard, according to a copy of the request form that Payton filed. Schmitt, who’s still an active National Guard sergeant, lost by less than 1.5 percentage points to Rep. Pat Ryan (D-N.Y.) in their November battle for New York’s 18th District.

Weren't masks in effect and said to be safe for not spreading at that time . Didn't she also visit Florida then while she locked the state down for travel.

They make these statements knowing they are lies and expecting Americans to believe them.
No way they can actually be so stupid.

It’s hard to imagine any group that lets Trump live rent-free in its head so easily, but the Lincoln Project produced an ad trolling Donald Trump by going after Fox News. I’d link to it in this piece, but I don’t want to you be angry with me for wasting 60 seconds of your life. The TL;DR is that Fox News stars hate Trump, so the network is dumping him.

Fox News declined to air the ad, and the Lincoln Project just can’t fathom why. The organization sent out a press release calling Fox News a bunch of “snowflakes” who are “too afraid to let their audience see the truth” because the network chose not to air the attack ad.

“Fox News loves to hit people night after night, but in reality, they are whining pansies who can’t take the heat and only care about the money they bring in for themselves,” Reed Galen, co-founder of the Lincoln Project, said in a less-than-eloquent statement. “They hate their audience and fill them up every single night with a torrent of crap that is only meant to frighten them and poison their worldview. Anyone who watches Fox News knows that the network wants its audience dumb, poor, and unhealthy so they can control their political opinions. Rupert Murdoch, Tucker Carlson, and Fox News are an abusive force in American life.”

House Democrats anoint ‘so-called’ member of Congress to sabotage hearings, trash whistleblowers

They have anointed as queen of this disinformation operation, a little-known Democrat named Stacey Plaskett, who is not even a full-fledged member of Congress.

Plaskett’s favorite adjective is “so-called,” which is ironic since she is a so-called member of Congress.

She does not have voting rights as the “at-large” delegate for the US Virgin Islands.

Yet she is a ranking member of the Select Subcommittee on Weaponization of the Federal Government, the first time a nonvoting delegate has occupied such a lofty post.

[clip]

They lied about the status of his whistleblower complaint to the DOJ Inspector General, violated his confidentiality by leaking cherry-picked portions of his testimony to the media and then falsely portrayed him as being a kook in the pay of “far-right” Trump operatives.

AB5's Chickens Coming Home to Roost? OOIDA Truckers Fight Secy of Labor Nominee Julie Su

Truckers and their mode of operations represent a last bastion of independent entrepreneurship in our country. Our food supply and other commerce chains depend upon the work that they do. But Big Labor only sees dollar signs and flagging membership. While certain segments of trucking are unionized, the owner-operator model of motor carriers has resisted this, because you make a whole lot more money, have a greater degree of flexibility, and can negotiate higher pay rates if you are your own boss. In my own interviews with California truckers for a piece I did for another outlet, many of these owner-operators are multigenerational, passed on from parents to children, and their families have been in California for decades. The life is akin to ranchers, farmers, and other agricultural businesses in the state. The ownership investment and independence are the main draws. It’s just that simple. It is government that has made it complicated.

What AB5 did in California is destroy this model. Despite numerous court challenges to exempt themselves from this ridiculous and work-killing law, in June 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court declined to review the California truckers’ last challenge, so they became subject to the restrictions imposed by the law. The result? Some truckers have left the industry, and others are moving their operations out of the state.

Just as Congressman Kiley has been doing in his speeches, letters, and advocacy, OOIDA CEO Todd Spencer’s letter to the HELP Committee points out the failure, malfeasance, and outright destructiveness that ensued when Julie Su, as California’s Labor and Workforce Development Secretary, implemented and enforced AB5. OOIDA is vowing, never again.

The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association represents 150,000 owner-operators leased to motor carriers, small-business motor carriers with their own operating authority, and employee truck drivers. We oppose Ms. Julie Su’s nomination to lead the Department of Labor and the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, & Pensions must reject her nomination in order to protect the livelihoods and careers of the hard-working truckers we represent. Her record as California Labor Commissioner and Secretary for the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency, including her support for AB5 and overseeing its disastrous implementation, demonstrates she would pursue policies that threaten our members’ ability to use a business model they have properly and beneficially used for decades.

Interesting – Democratic Congressman Daniel Goldman of New York Holding $32+ Million in Cayman Island Bank Account…

Goldman was one of Los Tres Amigos conscripted from the DOJ who was enlisted by Mary McCord to run the public face of the House impeachment effort against President Trump. More recently sketchy Goldman attempted to run defense for the Mueller-Weissmann team during testimony about the Twitter files. {Go Deep}

Considering his legal exposure to the multiple frauds he assisted and perpetrated, it seems part of his financial risk mitigation is to keep his bank accounts in the Cayman Islands. Curiously interesting, because it’s always worth noting what ammunition the Fourth Branch carries to keep their toadies in line.

[Trending Politics] – Newly disclosed financial documents show that a House Democrat leading the charge against income inequality has stashed over $30 million in a tax-free international haven to support his nonprofit.

The Richard W. Goldman Foundation, which for a decade has provided charitable efforts on behalf of the disadvantaged, reported holding $32.2 million in investments harbored within the Cayman Islands, a renowned haven for wealthy individuals and corporations seeking to relieve tax burdens. The organization was founded in 2012 by Democratic Congressman Daniel Goldman of New York.
